jorge Sandoval
He’s a master student in MIT’s Technology Policy Program, he’s studying the impact of science policies in the innovation of advanced technologies. He has a background in material science and graduate studies in nanotechnology and organic electronics from Costa Rica, Belgium and Germany, respectively. His academic experience comprise diverse fields from medical devices and magnetoelectronics to biosensors and solar cells.
peter heller
Peter Heller is an S.M. candidate in the Technology and Policy Program at MIT. His research is focused on ensuring a financially sustainable, just, and inclusive energy transition. Prior to MIT, Peter worked as Colorado State Senator Chris Hansen’s policy director, focused on energy and environmental legislation. Peter holds a B.S. in environmental engineering and a minor in engineering management from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Pragya Neupane
She is a first-year MS in Technology and Policy Program student at MIT. Her research interests cover a multitude of intersectional tech and policy areas like AI ethics, internet policies, and computational social science. Originally from Nepal, she is also an advocate for inclusion and diversity in tech. She is currently serving as an advisor at Nepali Women in Computing : a community of Nepali women in technology.
As a participant and a challenge winner of the MIT Policy Hackathon in 2021, Pragya is excited to see how the teams devise solutions to the policy problems this year. She loves reading and writing poetry in her spare time.
